Product Description
The 140CRA31908 is an S908 RIO drop adapter for Schneider Modicon Quantum remote I/O racks, compatible with M580 ePAC controllers. It acts as the communication gateway between the M580 EIO Ethernet network and the S908 remote I/O bus. This module receives implicit I/O data from the main CPU over Ethernet and exchanges real-time process data with local Quantum I/O modules on the S908 bus. It supports daisy-chain or ring network topology for redundant communication, and provides continuous diagnostics of bus health, module faults and I/O status. Equipped with multiple Ethernet ports and LED diagnostic indicators, it enables distributed remote I/O deployment for large-scale process control systems, allowing I/O racks to be placed near field instruments to reduce long field wiring cost.
