The DSPC172, part number 57310001‑ML, is a high‑performance main processor unit for legacy ABB Advant OCS and MasterPiece 200/1 distributed control systems, upgraded version of DSPC171. Powered by PowerPC 603e processor, it is equipped with 64 MB RAM and 16 MB Flash memory for user control logic, configuration data and runtime process variables storage. This Eurocard‑format rack‑mount CPU integrates dual Ethernet ports, multi‑channel RS232/485 serial interfaces, CAN bus and USB port, supporting multiple mainstream industrial communication protocols. It undertakes real‑time logic execution, I/O data scheduling, fieldbus communication and system diagnosis. It can work cooperatively with DSCL110A redundancy unit to build 1:1 hot‑standby redundant control architecture. Front‑panel LED indicators display RUN, FAULT and communication channel status.
