Description
TRICONEX 1600071-001 Trisen TurboSentry Turbine Overspeed Protection Unit, TMR Turbine Speed Monitoring Controller, Power Plant Turbo Machinery Safety Spare Part
Product Application
1600071-001 is the Trisen TurboSentry overspeed protection controller developed by Triconex (Invensys / Schneider). It adopts triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for turbine speed monitoring, overspeed trip protection and local speed display. It receives pulse signals from magnetic pick-up speed sensors, calculates turbine rotational speed, executes overspeed alarm and emergency trip logic to prevent turbine over-speed catastrophic failure.
- Thermal power plant steam turbine overspeed safety protection
- Combined cycle gas turbine shaft speed monitoring and trip control
- Petrochemical large steam turbine / expander machinery protection
- Power plant legacy Trisen TurboSentry system spare replacement
- On-site local speed indication, alarm setting and trip test
- Integration with Tricon TMR safety system for turbine safety interlock

Maintenance
- Routine inspection: Check LED status, sensor wiring, power supply and front panel key switch every 6–12 months
- Clean front panel with soft dry cloth; avoid strong solvent to prevent damage to display and keypad
- ESD protection must be adopted during disassembly, anti-static wristband required
- If speed reading loss or overspeed false alarm occurs, power off and check magnetic pickup sensor cable and mounting gap
- Do not energize the unit if housing damage or condensation is found
- We support function testing, refurbishment and spare replacement service for this Trisen TurboSentry overspeed protection unit
Installation
- Cut off 24VDC auxiliary power supply and sensor signal power before replacement, implement lockout-tagout procedure.
- Wear anti-static wristband to prevent electrostatic damage to internal TMR circuit.
- Mount 1600071-001 unit firmly on cabinet panel, keep housing intact.
- Connect magnetic pickup speed sensor signal wires, 24VDC power supply and communication cable to Tricon system, properly ground cable shielding.
- Restore power supply, enter configuration menu, set turbine rated speed, overspeed alarm and trip thresholds.
- Check all wiring and confirm no loose connections.
- Verify speed reading on front panel display.
- Perform trip simulation test, validate 2oo3 voting protection logic and complete commissioning.
