Product Description

The MVI56-PDPMV1 is an in-chassis PROFIBUS DPV1 master gateway module manufactured by ProSoft Technology for Rockwell Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix rack. It acts as the PROFIBUS DP master, bridging ControlLogix controller and PROFIBUS DP/DPV0/DPV1 slave field devices. It exchanges cyclic I/O data and acyclic parameter data via the ControlLogix backplane. It supports PROFIdrive, Sync/Freeze commands, DPV1 alarm and asset management services, which allows reading/writing drive and instrument parameters. The PROFIBUS port uses optical isolation to protect the PLC backplane from surge and ground-loop noise. It is hot-swappable, equipped with a DB9 PROFIBUS connector and an RS232 CFG configuration port, widely used for integrating European PROFIBUS devices into Rockwell ControlLogix systems in process and factory automation.
