Description
Emerson EPRO PR6424/003-030+CON021 Eddy Current Proximity Sensor System, 16mm Probe + CON021 Signal Converter, Turbine Shaft Vibration & Displacement Monitoring Spare Part
Product Application
PR6424/003-030 is a 16mm eddy current probe paired with CON021 signal conditioner. It performs non-contact measurement of shaft relative vibration, axial displacement, shaft position and eccentricity for rotating machinery. The probe detects distance changes of rotating metal shaft and CON021 converts the signal into standard voltage output for MMS machinery protection system, DCS and monitoring equipment.
- Thermal power plant steam turbine shaft vibration and axial position monitoring
- Combined cycle gas turbine machinery protection
- Petrochemical large compressor, pump and expander condition monitoring
- Metallurgy large steam turbine and blower shaft displacement measurement
- Power plant EPRO MMS6000 protection system spare replacement
- Rotating machinery early fault detection for imbalance, misalignment and rubbing

Maintenance
- Routine inspection: Check probe mounting clearance, cable integrity and LED status every 6–12 months
- Clean probe tip gently with soft cloth; avoid scratching the probe surface
- ESD protection must be adopted during disassembly, anti-static wristband required
- If vibration reading abnormal or sensor fault alarm occurs, power off and check probe cable, connector and negative power supply
- Do not energize the unit if cable insulation damage or probe surface corrosion is found
- We support function testing, refurbishment and spare replacement service for this PR6424/003-030+ eddy current sensor set
Installation
- Cut off -24VDC auxiliary power supply before installation or replacement, implement lockout-tagout procedure.
- Wear anti-static wristband to prevent electrostatic damage to probe and converter circuit.
- Mount probe on turbine casing, adjust and lock the nominal air gap to around 2.7mm.
- Route probe cable to cabinet, connect cable to signal converter. Mount on DIN rail.
- Connect -23 ~ -32VDC power supply and analog output signal cable to MMS monitoring card.
- Restore power supply, perform sensor gap calibration and zero adjustment.
- Verify output voltage signal of and check fault diagnostic status.
- Test vibration and displacement reading, confirm signal transmission to MMS system and complete commissioning.
