Product Description

The MVI56-104S is an in-chassis communication gateway module manufactured by ProSoft Technology for Rockwell Allen‑Bradley ControlLogix platform. It functions as an IEC 60870-5-104 server, bridging ControlLogix PLC and IEC 104-based SCADA/DCS systems over TCP/IP Ethernet. It exchanges real-time process data via the ControlLogix backplane with the controller and provides IEC 104 telecontrol services for upper-level power SCADA. It supports spontaneous unsolicited data reporting (Report by Exception), time-stamped event records, group interrogation and time synchronization. A 4000-word internal register database is used for bidirectional data exchange between the ControlLogix CPU and IEC 104 client. It is hot-swappable and widely adopted in power, water and petrochemical telecontrol systems as a protocol conversion spare part.
